On January 31 and February 2, 2024, SHACMAN also released recruitment information for dealers and service providers in the Asia Pacific region (including South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania). In 2023, SHACMAN's sales in the Asia Pacific region increased by nearly 40%, with a share of nearly 20%. At present, Shaanxi Automobile Delon X6000 has achieved batch import in Morocco, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and other countries, and Delon X5000 has achieved batch operation in 20 countries. At the same time, SHACMAN bias terminal vehicles have landed in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, South Africa, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Poland, Brazil and other international large ports, becoming the main brand in the international terminal car segment.
For example, Shacman Xinjiang Automobile Co., LTD., with the advantage of Xinjiang's location and resources, the export orders showed a blowout growth. From January to August 2023, a total of 4,208 heavy trucks were produced, of which more than half were exported to the Central Asian market, an increase of 198%. In the whole year of 2023, the company produced and sold 5,270 heavy trucks, of which 3,990 were exported, an increase of 108% over the same period last year. In 2024, the company expects to produce and sell 8,000 heavy trucks, and will further increase its export share through the layout of overseas warehouses.
China's heavy truck exports are also showing an overall growth trend. According to the China Automobile Association and public data, the cumulative export of heavy trucks in 2023 in China is 276,000, an increase of nearly 60% (58%) compared with 175,000 in 2022. Some institutions believe that the overseas heavy truck market demand continues to grow, China's heavy truck from cost-effective to high-end upgrade, with product and supply chain advantages, its exports are expected to continue to grow, 2024 heavy truck exports are expected to remain high, is expected to exceed 300,000 units of magnitude.
The growth of heavy truck exports has benefited from many factors. On the one hand, some countries in Latin America and Asia, where China's major exporters of heavy trucks are located, have gradually recovered demand for heavy trucks, and the previously suppressed just need to be further released; On the other hand, the investment mode of some heavy truck enterprises has changed, from the original trade mode, part of the KD model mainly developed into a direct investment model, and the factories with direct investment have been mass-produced overseas and increased production and sales; In addition, Russia, Mexico, Algeria and other countries imported more heavy truck vehicles to China, and the year-on-year growth rate was higher, which boosted the growth of the export market.
